Breast cancer survivor? Apply to be part of the 2016 Casting for Recovery

2016 marks the 6th year that Casting for Recovery in Wyoming will offer a weekend retreat for survivors of breast cancer. Due to generous donations from individuals, businesses, and grants from the Wyoming Community Foundation, the Wyoming Affiliate of Susan G. Komen®, and the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole, this 2 ½ day retreat is offered at no cost to the participants and is open to women of all ages and in any stage of breast cancer treatment and recovery who live in Wyoming. Casting for Recovery retreats incorporate counseling and educational services to participants. Trained facilitators staff each retreat, including a healthcare professional, psycho-social therapist, fly fishing instructors, and river helpers. Casting for Recovery believes in its mission of providing women with powerful tools for healing at no expense to them. -The 2016 retreat will be held in Dubois at the Absaroka Ranch on July 22-24. Lodging and all meals are included. -Fly-fishing instruction & breast cancer information are provided in a recreational setting with both physical & emotional benefits. -Casting for Recovery promotes coping and problem-solving skills and focuses on wellness and empowerment. -Connect with other women – Enjoy the outdoors – Learn a new sport – Have fun!
