Broncs star player commits to UW

(Jackson, Wyo.) - Yesterday, Jackson Hole High School football player Theo Dawson announced that he has verbally committed to play football at the University of Wyoming. He officially announced his decision Sunday afternoon on Twitter. [image: Inline image 1] In the post he writes, "I have finally decided where I will be attending and playing football after a two year mission. I am honored and blessed to say.... That I'm going to be suiting up in brown and gold with my partner in crime Chase Hughes and continue my education as a WYOMING COWBOY." Last week, Dawson was named to the 43rd annual Shrine Bowl of Wyoming , to play for the North team set for Casper on June 11. He was also named the 2015-16 Gatorade Wyoming Football Player of the Year in early December. The Gatorade release stated that "the 6-foot-2, 220-pound senior running back rushed for 2,283 yards and 27 touchdowns on 254 carries this past season, leading the Broncs to a 9-1 record and the Class 3A semifinals. Dawson averaged 9.0 yards per carry and also contributed 61 tackles on defense."
