Dawson officially signs Letter of Intent with Pokes

(Jackson, Wyo.) - At 12:30 p.m. at Jackson Hole High School, Broncs football player Theo Dawson officially signed his Letter of Intent to play football at the University of Wyoming. He had many offers to play football at schools around the country such as Columbia, Air Force, Yale, Dartmouth and Montana State, but chose to play for the Mountain West Conference. "I love the west, I was born and raised there. I took some trips out east and just didn't feel comfortable there. I really think I belong here and I am really excited to play for the Mountain West Conference," said Dawson after the signing. "It's also the conference my father played for." Dawson's father played for BYU and his grandfather played for Utah. He officially announced his decision Sunday afternoon on Twitter, where he stated "I have finally decided where I will be attending and playing football after a two year mission. I am honored and blessed to say.... That I'm going to be suiting up in brown and gold with my partner in crime Chase Hughes and continue my education as a WYOMING COWBOY." Dawson will go on his church mission directly following high school and begin with the UW football team in two years. [image: Inline image 1] *Dawson poses with his parents after the signing.
