(Alpine, Wyo.) - Tomorrow for the first time, local brewery Melvin Brewing will serve its 2x4 Double IPA beer in 24 bars in nine states. Melvin has officially named February 4 National 2x4 Day. According to a release issued by Melvin, "Wyoming’s Melvin Brewing is celebrating their award-winning 2x4 Imperial IPA across the U.S. on Thursday, February 4 with special events at 24 bars from Boston and New York to San Diego and Seattle. The swag, the hip-hop, the ninjas, and – of course – Melvin’s 2x4 will all be out to party." Until now, Melvin’s 2x4 Imperial IPA has only been available on draught at Thai Me Up restaurant in Jackson. 2x4 has won a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival
back-to-back Alpha King awards (2nd in 2015) and holds the current World
Beer Cup Gold Medal. Melvin was also named Small Brewpub and Small Brewpub
Brewer of the Year at the 2015 Great American Beer Festival.
