Weekend Dispatch: Multiple DUIs, drug offenses, theft and assault

(Jackson, Wyo.) – Here is a recap of local dispatch and law enforcement activity from this past weekend in the Town of Jackson and Teton County. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty. There were 152 calls to the area dispatch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. *Crime Reports and Arrests * Destruction of Property: At 4:28 a.m. on Friday, a person reported to the Jackson Police Department that a man wrote a vulgar statement in dry erase marker on a person's car door. According to the Jackson PD, no citations were issued. DUI: On Friday night at 10:19 p.m., according to the Jackson Police Department, Gabriel Langston of Portland, Oregon was arrested for DUI after being stopped for lane violations and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. The person's blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was .21%. DUI: At 2:46 a.m. on Saturday morning, according to the Jackson Police Department, Jared Spieker of Jackson was arrested for DUI after being stopped for a stop-sign violation and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. His BAC was .26%. Drug Offense: At 10:36 p.m. on Saturday night, according to the Jackson Police Department, Grant Leffel of Jackson was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and violating his probation when officers responded to a noise disturbance and found drugs and paraphernalia. DUI: At 12:59 a.m. on Sunday morning, according to the Jackson Police Department, Michael Hukriede of Greenwood Village, Colorado was arrested for DUI after being stopped for failing to stop at a flashing red light and doing poorly on field sobriety tests. His BAC was.18% Theft: At 10:10 a.m. on Sunday, according to the Jackson Police Department, a juvenile stole several items, including cash, from another juvenile's locker. The suspect was caught during the act and returned all items. There were no charges filed. Drug Offense: At 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, according to the Jackson Police Department, Edward Gonzalez of Jackson was arrested for the theft from an earlier reported crime and was also found to be in possession of controlled substances. Assault: At 8:40 p.m. on Sunday, Antony Strano of Selden, New York was arrested for Aggravated Assault after stabbing his longtime friend in the leg with a knife. According to the Jackson PD, this investigation is continuing. *Collisions* There were six total auto collisions this past weekend, including one hit and run. *Other* Other dispatch reports included snow tow warnings, citizen assists, lost and found property, road hazards, driving complaints, and medical assists. #buckrail #news
