Tuesday Dispatch: Drug offense, domestic assault and suspicious circumstances

(Jackson, Wyo.) – Here is a recap of local dispatch and law enforcement activity from yesterday in the Town of Jackson and Teton County. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty. There were 34 calls to the area dispatch on Tuesday, February 9. *Crime Reports and Arrests * Drug Offense: At 2:01 a.m. on Tuesday, Jackson Police officers responded to a noise complaint. Upon contacting the occupants of the residence, officers could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the residence. Officers located marijuana and paraphernalia and as a result, Cody Michael Baker, 19, of Jackson was charged with possession of marijuana. Suspicious Circumstances: On Tuesday at 5:33 a.m., Jackson Police officers were called to a business in reference to a subject who had no business there, but was wandering around acting aggressively with employees. Officers contacted the subject and issued him a criminal trespass notice to stay off of the property. Citizen Assist: At 12:36 p.m. on Tuesday, a subject reported to the Jackson Police Department that he had a package shipped to him but it was delivered by the post office to an unknown person rather than to the recipient. According to the Jackson PD, follow-up continues to determine who has possession of the package. Domestic Assault: On Tuesday at 5:11 p.m., Jackson Police officers responded to a disturbance. It was determined that a couple in a dating relationship had been fighting when the female grabbed the male by the throat. Evidence of injury was present and as a result the female was placed under arrest for domestic assault. *Collisions* There were two auto collisions yesterday, including one hit and run. *Other* Other dispatch reports included snow tow citations, citizen assists, motorist assists, lost and found property, animal control calls, and a welfare check. #buckrail #news
