(Jackson, Wyo.) - Looking for something to do this weekend that won't break the bank? We've got you covered. Here are five free things happening around the county this weekend: *1. Stargazing at the Center for the Arts: *Starting at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Center for the arts, Wyoming Stargazing is hosting free public stargazing event. They will be set up on the large lawn right next to the Center. During the stargazing events they will be using their giant Dobsonian Telescope with a 20″ primary mirror to look at planets, stars, nebulae, galaxies, and more. They will also bring several iPads with the Star Walk application installed on them so you can explore the heavens while others are looking through the telescopes. *2. Phallus through Bhutan book signing and photo exhibit:* On Friday, February 12 at 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Asymbol Gallery, join doctor, traveler and photographer, Marc Domsky, in celebrating the legend of the Magic Thunderbolt in his new book featuring the photographs of the phalluses of Bhutan. Book Signing Photo Exhibit and Reception Local anesthesiologist and amateur photographer, Marc Domsky, will unveil a new book featuring eyepopping images of the legendary phallus images in Bhutan. *3. Elk Refuge Programs:* The National Elk Refuge has kicked off its February programing, which includes several free educational events and tours. On Saturday, February 13, they are hosting a Refuge History tour and on Sunday, February 14, there will be a short interpretive walk on the National Elk Refuge. *4. JH Babe Force GALentine's Ski-venger Hunt:* It is February, and we all
know what that means- GALentine's Day is here and the Jackson Hole Babe
Force is celebrating all the ladies with our 3rd Annual GALentine's Day ski
day! This Saturday, February 13 at 1:30 p.m. at the Jackson Hole Mountain
Resort Bridger Gondola, bring your best girl friends and join in for our
annual ski-venger hunt. Meet at the Bridger Gondola at 1:30 p.m. where they
will break into teams (GALentine's Day themed team names and outfits are
encouraged) and distribute ski-venger hunt sheets. Each team will take
pictures of the tasks completed. They will meet back up for apres, judge
each team's ski-venger hunt results, and announce the winners. Fun prizes
will be awarded to the top teams!
*5. Live Music at the K Bar:* There is live music Friday, Saturday and
Sunday at the K-Bar in Teton Mountain Lodge up in Teton Village. On Friday
evening, the Canyon Kids will be performing live. On Saturday from 4 - 6
p.m., Chanman is performing and on Sunday afternoon is Greg Creamer and
Keith Phillips, DIRT ROAD - A musical journey on the dirt roads from
Nashville to Memphis and on to New Orleans and further. Exploring the music
of great songwriters, with a mix of Blues, Country, R&B and Folk.
