Center of Wonder now accepting C3 Grant applications

(Jackson, Wyo.) - Center of Wonder is pleased to announce our Spring 2016 Collaborating for a Creative Community (C3) grant cycle is open for applications from local non-profit organizations. Applications are due no later then 5pm, Friday, March 11. Center of Wonder is a support organization dedicated to the arts and creative education in Jackson. The organization nurtures leaders and cultivate initiatives to bring cultural organizations together. In the last four years, Center of Wonder has awarded more than $520,000 through 111 grants and awards involving over 56 organizations, artists, and creative leaders. The C3 Grant Program is designed to enhance Jackson’s creative community through partnerships that promote vibrancy in the arts and creative education. Preference will be given to initiatives that address one or more of the following: Artists-in-Residence- residency programs that encourage the creation, presentation and sharing of art through interdisciplinary exploration and collaborative community engagement. Residencies provide the time and space for artists of all disciplines to develop new work and ideas, to share their knowledge and artistic insights with our community, and to embrace the uniqueness of Jackson. Creative Education- these programs, for all ages, will encourage interdisciplinary approaches to teaching, learning and experiencing the arts, which in turn supports creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. There is a need and desire for innovative education for children, artists and creative leaders. All applicants must be a 501(c)3 designated organization, or be fiscally sponsored by one. At least one applicant organization must have a mission that promotes culture or the arts in Jackson Hole. A 1:1 cash match is required of all projects. More information is at #buckrail #news
