The most romantic tree in the west: The BTNF Wedding Tree

(Jackson, Wyo.) - Of course we know that Jackson Hole is full of unimaginable beauty, which breeds the ideal place for proposals, weddings and any other romantic outings, but it is also home to one of the most romantic trees in the west... The name of the Wedding Tree in the Bridger-Teton National Forest just caught on over time, and it has become an ideal place for weddings and wedding photos. The Wedding Tree is actually two trees side by side, a Limber Pine and a Douglas fir. According to Angelica Cacho, public affairs specialist for the Bridger-Teton National Forest, "This site has become popular for weddings only in the past couple of years so there is no archival history for the location. One can only presume that the location is so popular for weddings for its prime scenery location since you can see the Teton’s without any obstructions. Perfect photo background!" Cacho said that she believes weddings near the tree began as early as the 1960, because that is when a small parking lot was built next to the tree, but weddings could have also occurred earlier. There are 25 permits for weddings issued for the Wedding Tree spot per year. *Feature Photo: A Wedding at the Wedding Tree. h/t BTNF / Pitchengine Communities* #buckrail #news
