Study of state health insurance for all being considered

The Wyoming State Legislature might direct the Wyoming Department of Health to study the possibility of providing insurance to all residents. A recently added footnote to the departments budget in the current version of the budget bill would require the department to "state-administered health insurance options for individuals and businesses with Wyoming and any potential cost saving to the state of Wyoming from implementation of various options." The state already provides its own insurance to state and school employees through the Department of Insurance. Should the footnote survive both the House and the Senate floors, a preliminary report of the study's findings would be due by July 15, 2016. A final report would be due no later than Nov. 15, 2016, "for consideration as potential legislative action during the 2017 legislative session." #buckrail #reboot #county10 #springcity #dally #oilcity #county17 #shortgo #news
