Landfill fees to increase July 1

(Jackson, Wyo.) - At the Board of County Commissioners meeting today, officials voted to approve an increase in the some of the tip fees at the Teton County Trash Transfer Station. The approved increase will go into effect on July 1 and include the following modifications: - Tip fee for landfill-bound municipal solid waste (including mixed Construction and Demolition (C&D)) – increase from $110/ton to $115/ton; - Sort fee – increase from $240/ton to $250/ton; and, - Tip fees for tires as follows: Individual tires up to 17” with rims – increase from $7/tire to $12/tire; and, o Bulk tires – increase from $200/ton to $275/ton. County documents state that there will be no increase in items that are diverted from the landfill, including dimensional lumber, grass, yard waste, manure, dirt, sod, scrap metal and concrete.
