Thursday's budget amendment means $15M more for Wyoming towns

(Cheyenne, Wyo.) - Today, an amendment for HB51 was adopted to allocate $105 million to individual Wyoming governments. This amendment increases the previously budgeted item of $90 million by $15 million. HB51 is a bill for local government distributions sponsored by the Joint Appropriations Interim Committee. It is an act that provides funding to cities, towns and counties. According to the bill's Fiscal Note , "This bill would provide 2 equal direct distributions to cities and towns and to counties on August 15, 2016 and on August 15, 2017 in accordance with the funding formulas described in the bill."
