TCSO teaches survival skills at Active Shooter Training last week

(Jackson, Wyo.) - It it looked like there was a scary situation at the Teton County Administration building last Wednesday, don't worry it was just a drill. The Teton County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) trained approximately 35 county staff members what to do in the event of an active shooter situation. According to the Sheriff's Office, the best most important lesson of the training was in three words -- run, hide, fight. "If you can't get out, hide. If you can't run, and you can't hide -- fight," according to Deputy Latimer Gyetvai. During the drill, deputies roamed the halls firing blanks to give staff the realistic experience of hearing a gunshot in the building from their offices. *Feature Photo: Teton County Sheriff's Office Lieutenant Tom Combs. h/t Teton County Sheriff's Office / Pitchengine Communities* #buckrail #news
