Debbie Pfortmiller to lead Jackson Hole Middle School

(Jackson, Wyo.) - Yesterday, the Board of Trustees approved the selection of Debbie Pfortmiller as the Jackson Hole Middle School principal. "We had some exceptional candidates and I thank all who applied for the position. Debbie brings an impressive resume of experience to the role and I feel confident that she will capitalize on what is working well, with an eye for even greater success in the future. Our students and staff are in good hands," said Superintendent Gillian Chapman, EdD. Prior to moving to Jackson last summer to serve as the interim JHMS principal for the 2015-2016 school year, Pfortmiller served as the associate superintendent of administrative services, elementary at Shawnee Mission School District for four years. Prior to that, she served Hocker Grove Middle School for 11 years as the principal and associate principal as well as teaching math at the middle school and high school levels for 18 years.
