BREAKING: Two firefighters injured in morning fire

(Wilson, Wyo.) - At 7:07 this morning, emergency crews responded to 3700 Tucker Ranch Road for a structure fire in a residence under construction. The fire was reported by a neighbor. The first arriving unit, Engine 61 out of Station 6 on the Moose-Wilson Rd. found a two story, unoccupied residence with smoke and fire showing. Additional units from Jackson Hole Fire/EMS (JHFEMS), the Teton Village Fire District, and the Teton County Sheriff’s Department arrived soon after. Fire suppression efforts were conducted and the fire was found and extinguished. Two firefighters were injured during the suppression efforts. Both were transported by JHFEMS ambulances to St. John’s Medical Center and were subsequently treated and released. Responding to the fire were 15 Fire and EMS apparatus, 40 firefighters, four Citizens Emergency Response Team (CERT) members, and two Sheriff’s Department deputies. The structure sustained heavy fire damage to approximately 15% of the structure with associated smoke damage throughout the entire structure.
