'March Radness' kicks off this weekend with Dick's Ditch Race, Music Under the Tram

(Teton Village, Wyo.) - Spring ski season is in full effect at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) as March Radness kicks off this week with Music Under the Tram and Dick’s Ditch. The first weekend in March marks the 17th Annual Dick’s Ditch Classic Giant Banked Slalom Race March 5-6. This two-day banked slalom event is JHMR’s winter competition and a tradition that takes place on man-made and natural terrain in Dick’s Ditch from Lupine Way down to South Pass Traverse. This year presents Saturday’s run as the qualifier followed by the Sunday final. Both skiers and snowboarders advancing to Sunday’s competition start with a clean slate in a one-run, winner-takes-all format. The first Music Under the Tram of the season features local indie-rockers, The Canyon Kids, taking the stage Saturday, March 5. Music Under the Tram is a free outdoor concert series every Saturday in March at the base of the Aerial Tram. “March is arguably the best month of the Jackson Hole season. Great skiing and riding, numerous on-mountain activities and a stellar entertainment lineup make March the perfect start to spring here in Jackson Hole,” said Adam Sutner, Vice President of Marketing. “This year March Radness culminates with the 3rd Annual Rendezvous Festival, March 18th -20th. The lineup is bigger and better than ever with Nataniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats headlining Friday on the Jackson Town Square and Zac Brown Band with opener Chris Robinson Brotherhood on Saturday in Teton Village. We close out Jackson Hole Rendezvous weekend on Sunday with the Marmot Coombs Classic on snow, followed by Uncle Kracker on stage under the tram.” *Feature Photo: Music Under the Tram. h/t JHMR / Pitchengine Communities* #buckrail #news #whatshappning
