Monday Dispatch: 3 drug offenses, sexual assault, theft and DUI

(Jackson, Wyo.) – Here is a recap of local dispatch and law enforcement activity from yesterday in the Town of Jackson and Teton County. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty. There were 70 calls to the area dispatch on Monday, March 7. *Crime Reports and Arrests * Drug Offense: At 2:33 a.m. on Monday, Jackson Police officers and a narcotics canine served a search warrant on a motel room. A small amount of narcotics was recovered and, according to the Jackson PD, follow-up continues. Drug Offense: At 5:34 a.m. on Monday, Jackson Police officers and a narcotics canine served a search warrant on a residence. Narcotics were seized and follow-up continues. The Jackson PD currently cannot release anything further. Sexual Assault: On Monday at 12:50 p.m., Jackson Police officers received a report of a minor who reported being sexually assaulted. Since the victim is a minor, the Jackson PD cannot release anything further. Theft: At 1:48 p.m. on Monday, a subject reported to the Jackson Police Department that a cell phone was stolen from the Recreation Center. The subject reported he left the phone unsecured on a bench in the locker room. According to the Jackson PD, there are no leads. Drug Offense: On Monday at 5:09, a Jackson Police officer responded to a report of drug paraphernalia that was found on a START bus. The Jackson PD states that there are no suspects and the items were taken for destruction. DUI: At 10:01 on Monday, Jackson Police officers received a report of a subject who had allegedly consumed a bottle of vodka before beginning to drive around town. A short time later, officers observed the vehicle on Broadway. The vehicle pulled into a parking lot and parked. An officer contacted the driver and immediately noted objective signs of intoxication. The subject failed field sobriety tests and as a result, Curtis Alvin Coffe, 29, of Hoback Junction was charged with DUI. *Collisions * Yesterday, there were four auto collisions, including 2 hit and runs. *Other* Other dispatch reports included citizen assists, snow tow citations, fire alarms, lost and found property, driving complaints, and animal control calls. #buckrail #news
