Sublette County deputies graduate from academy

(Sublette County, Wyo.) - Members of the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office celebrated their graduation from the Detention Officer Basic course in Douglas on Wednesday after undergoing 8-weeks of classroom and practical training through the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy. Deputy Kari Goza and Deputy Carol Mackenzie both attended the most recent class, each earning their certifications. The training consists of classroom work with studies covering things such as legal issues, courtroom security and constitutional law, and practical training including firearms, custody and control, and emergency vehicle operations. Deputy Goza and Deputy Mackenzie each completed their field training in the Sublette County detention center prior to attending the academy, and are anxious to return to work as full-time detention deputies. *Feature Photo: Members of Sublette County attended the graduation of two SCSO detention deputies.
