Wednesday Dispatch: DUI, theft, and hit and run

(Jackson, Wyo.) – Here is a recap of local dispatch and law enforcement activity from yesterday in the Town of Jackson and Teton County. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty. There were 48 calls to the area dispatch on Wednesday, March 9. *Crime Reports and Arrests * DUI: On Wednesday, Jackson Police officers were dispatched to a report of a subject who had crashed into a ditch near the intersection of Hansen and Rancher streets. The witness gave a description of the driver who was reported to be walking northbound on Rancher Street. When officers arrived they found a subject matching the description on Rancher Street near the crash site. Officers contacted the subject who was visibly intoxicated and they determined the keys to the vehicle in the ditch were in his possession. The subject failed field sobriety tests. As a result, Dakota Maximilliam Richardson, 24, of Jackson was charged with DUI. Theft: On Thursday, a subject called the Jackson Police Department to report their bumper had been stolen. An officer attempted to call the person back to complete a report but so far officers have been unable to contact the reporting party. *Collisions * There were three auto collisions yesterday, including one hit and run. *Other* Other dispatch reports included citizen assists, medical assists, lost and found property, motorist assists, pedestrian stops, false alarms and suspicious circumstances. #buckrail #news
