(Jackson, Wyo.) - Here are some free events happening this weekend: *1. Feathered Fridays:* The National Elk Refuge and Teton Raptor Center have scheduled a series of "Feathered Friday" visits this winter at the Jackson Hole & Greater Yellowstone Visitor Center. The programs, offered each Friday from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m., will run weekly through March 25. The Visitor Center is located at 532 N. Cache Street in Jackson. *2. 6th Annual Cowboy Songs & Cake:* The Teton County Library Alta Branch staff extend a warm invitation to community members to join in our 6th Annual Cowboy Songs & Cake concert, featuring the pickin’ buckaroos from Wyoming, Michael Hurwitz, Jerry Linn and Tommy Broderick. The event starts at 2:30 p,m. at the Teton County Library Alta Branch. The event is free and open to all. *3. **Exhibition Opening: Ignis Anima by Kayla Arend: *On Friday, March 11
from 5:30-7PM, Center for the Arts will host an opening reception for
artist Kayla Arend's multi-disciplinary exhibition, Ignis Anima, which
features a short film, live painting/dance performance, and a collection of
still photographs in The Center Theater Gallery. Learn more about the art

*4. Stargazing at the Center for the Arts: *Starting at 7:30 p.m. tonight
at the Center for the arts, Wyoming Stargazing is hosting free public
stargazing event. They will be set up on the large lawn right next to the
Center. During the stargazing events they will be using their giant
Dobsonian Telescope with a 20″ primary mirror to look at planets, stars,
nebulae, galaxies, and more. They will also bring several iPads with the
Star Walk application installed on them so you can explore the heavens
while others are looking through the telescopes.
*5.* *Chanman Solo at the K Bar: *On Saturday from 4 - 6 p.m., Chanman will
play apres' ski at the K Bar in Teton Mountain Lodge. Songs from Chanman's
new CD "Chanman solo," ski bum originals and standards. The live music
is free and open to all.
