Remains found in Yellowstone from January death, no foul play suspected

(Yellowstone) - Yesterday, Yellowstone National Park released more information on the human remains found in the park last week. On Wednesday, March 2, visitors snowshoeing within the boundaries of Yellowstone National Park, near the town of West Yellowstone, came across the partial remains of an individual in the snow. The following day park rangers and volunteers found more remains heavily scavenged by animals; however, there is no evidence that this death was the result of an animal attack. Indications at the scene suggest the individual died within the park sometime in January and there are no signs of foul play. The National Park Service is working with the Montana Crime Lab to determine the identity of the individual.
