Mike Bressler Appointed Chief Electrical Inspector

(Jackson, Wyo.) - Jackson Hole Fire/EMS announced the appointment of Mike Bressler as Chief Electrical Inspector. Bressler’s appointment fills the vacated position held by former Chief Electrical Inspector Nick Ryan. Ryan served for seventeen years in the position. The Electrical Division, led by the Chief Electrical Inspector, is part of the Prevention Bureau in Jackson Hole Fire/EMS, fulfilling an important part of the organization’s mission statement. Plan reviews, field inspections, issuing permits, and educating contractors are important goals for the Division. Safe electrical installations reduce risk of electrical fires in commercial and residential structures. The Prevention Bureau performed 3,353 preventative service calls in 2015. “I am excited about the challenge and look forward to continuing to build strong relationships,” said Bressler. Serving as the Authority Having Jurisdiction, the Chief Electrical Inspector is charged with ensuring the rules of the adopted National Electrical Code are followed and makes final determinations for code rulings. Electrical permits issued in 2015 exceeded past year’s numbers. Bressler anticipates a busy summer season ahead for staff and himself. *Feature Photo: Mike Bressler. h/t Jackson Hole Fire/EMS / Pitchengine Communities* #buckrail #news
