(Jackson, Wyo.) - Last week, the Jackson Hole Airport released its Annual Noise Report, which outlines the noise disturbance that the Airport contributes to Grand Teton National Park. Since the Jackson Hole Airport is the only commercial airport within a National Park, it operates under special restrictions including airport noise. According to the study, quieter aircrafts, specific flight routes and other methods are used to reduce the noise from the airport. And these measures have paid off. "The results of the noise measurements show that the airport is in compliance with the requirements of the Airport Use Agreement. The measured noise levels are below the limits contained within the agreement," stated the report. Read the full report here.
