(Jackson, Wyo.) - Tonight, The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will hold a public meeting in Jackson to review and take public comment on the draft Grizzly Bear Management Plan. The United States Fish and Wildlife Service filed a proposed rule for removing grizzly bears from the endangered species list in Wyoming, Montana and Idaho on March 11. The grizzly bear was first listed as threatened in 1975. The draft proposals outline how Wyoming would manage grizzly bears when they come off of the endangered species list. There is a public comment period open right now until April 14. Those interested can comment online or by mail. Read and comment on the Draft Wyoming Grizzly Bear Management Plan here.
