Andy Schwartz to seek reelection to Wyoming House District 23

(Jackson, Wyo.) - Representative Andy Schwartz announced his intention to run for reelection to the Wyoming State Legislature during this past Saturday’s Teton County Democratic Convention. To a crowded room with over 200 people, Schwartz commented on the launch of his 2016 campaign, saying “It is my goal to continue to provide a voice in Cheyenne for the citizens of Teton County and to protect our shared values.” On issues ranging from the preservation of public lands and wildlife habitat to improving access to health care and defending women’s rights, Schwartz wants to carry on his efforts to represent the interests of County 22’s residents. “I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to serve the public here for over 20 years, and my new role in the legislature, while often very challenging, has been rewarding and productive in many ways. I am looking forward to using the knowledge I have gained and the partnerships I have developed to build on my progress and represent the people of Teton County and their values for two more years,” he said. Andy Schwartz, a small business owner and resident of Teton County for 40 years, has a deep civic history. He split time serving on the Teton County and Town of Jackson Planning Commissions from 1992-2000, sat on the Board of County Commissioners from 2001-2012, and was elected as a State Representative for House District 23 in 2014. *Feature Photo: Andy Schwartz. h/t Andy Schwartz / Pitchengine Communities* #buckrail #news
