Mark Obringer to Run for Mayor

(Jackson, Wyo.) - This morning, Mark Obringer announced that he will run for Mayor this fall. Here is the full announcement: "Friends and neighbors, I want to take this opportunity to let you know that I have decided to run for the position of Mayor of Jackson. It has been 3 years since I last served as a public official and during that time off I have been able to reflect on what is happening in the valley and refresh myself. "New ideas come from history and experience – You don’t know where you are going until you know where you’ve been. I’ve been listening to the public dialog and I believe we need to come up with solutions unique to our valley instead of editing outside reports and recycling old ideas. "If elected Mayor, I will frame and guide the conversation in a fair and inclusive way. We have a huge pool of talented people in Jackson Hole and it’s important that we reach out and utilize this resource. Because after all in most cases we are not doing this for ourselves, we are doing it for the future of Jackson." Obringer served four terms on the Town Council from 1998 - 2012 *Feature Photo: Mark Obringer. h/t Mark Obringer / Pitchengine Communities* #buckrail #news
