Monday Dispatch: Domestic Violence, Harassment and a Warrant Arrest

(Jackson, Wyo.) – Here is a recap of local dispatch and law enforcement activity from yesterday in the Town of Jackson and Teton County. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty. There were 38 calls to the area dispatch on Monday, April 11. *Crime Reports and Arrests * Domestic Violence: On Monday at 1:17 a.m., Jackson Police officers responded to a report of a disturbance. They learned that a dating couple were arguing about their relationship. Eventually this led to one party allegedly spitting on the other and in return, the party who had been spit on allegedly scratched the other. No obvious injuries were noted. According to the Jackson PD, a criminal trespass notice was issued for the residence for the party who does not live there. Harass: At 1:03 p.m. on Monday, a subject reported to the Jackson Police Department that she was being harassed via Facebook by another person. It was alleged that the messages were not threatening, but were constant and harassing in nature and that the messages were beginning to cause personal problem for the reporting party. The alleged suspect was contacted and advised to cease contact with the victim. Warrant Attempt: On Monday at 4:52 a.m., the Jackson Police department was notified by the Lincoln County, Wyoming Sheriff’s Office of a subject who they had a warrant for that they had learned was in Jackson. Officers went to the given address and located the subject. As a result, Azael Bedolla-Zarate, 21, of Jackson was placed under arrest. Battery: At 5:39 p.m. on Monday, it was reported that two patients in a care facility had a dispute that led to one of them slapping the other on the hand. Both parties have diminished mental functioning and their families who are their guardians did not desire further police assistance. The facility is mandated by law to report such incidents to law enforcement. *Collisions * Yesterday, there were four auto collisions. *Other* Other dispatch reports included welfare checks, false alarms, road hazards, animal control calls and citizen assists. *Feature Photo: h/t Pixabay / Pitchengine Communities* #buckrail #news
