Thursday Dispatch: Residential Burglary, theft and 2 drug offenses

(Jackson, Wyo.) – Here is a recap of local dispatch and law enforcement activity from yesterday in the Town of Jackson and Teton County. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty. There were 48 calls to the area dispatch on Thursday, April 14. *Crime Reports and Arrests * Residential Burglary: At 2:22 p.m. on Thursday, a subject reported to the Jackson Police Department that she left town on vacation for approximately two and half weeks. Prior to leaving she posted on Facebook that she would be out of town. When she left she did not lock the doors to her residence. Upon her return she found that cash and sunglasses had been stolen from her residence. There are no leads to follow at this time. The police department would like to remind residents to always lock their doors and to never post on social media when they will gone from home. Posting on social media that you are not at your residence is a common precursor to being burglarized. Theft: On Thursday at 7:53 p.m., a subject reported to the Jackson Police Department that a backpack had been stolen from a vehicle. Drug Offenses: According to the Teton County Sheriff's Office, two separate traffic stops resulted in a misdemeanor citation for marijuana possession. *Collisions* There was one auto collision yesterday. *Other* Other dispatch reports included lost and found property, a citizen assist, animal control calls, abandoned vehicle and road hazards. *Feature Photo: h/t Pixabay / Pitchengine Communities* #buckrail #news
