(Jackson, Wyo.) - The last two days have been emotional ones for local high school students and emergency responders. This is because of the S.L.A.M. (Simulated Live Action Melodrama) "Every Fifteen Minutes"
described as "emotionally charged program that has the goal of creating
lasting impacts upon teenagers who are making life choices regarding not
only their safety, but also the safety of others."
11 local agencies and more than 60 volunteers helped make this two-day
"I have been involved in every year of it and I believe that this was the
best one yet," said Lieutenant Slade Ross with the Teton County Sheriff's
Office. "I think the presentation has gotten more polished every time but I
think the second day went way above with the addition of the judge doing
the sentencing and the video which was done by one of the students, Justin
Means. Mr. Means did the video on his own time, over the evening and
without being asked to. We did not think we would have a video until he
showed up with it and what a great surprise."
Here are 5 photos that will encourage you to remember to drive safe.
Remember, these were all taken during a simulation conducted on Wednesday
and Thursday at Jackson Hole High School.
