Son of Ansel Adams to speak in GTNP for free

(Moose, Wyo.) - On June 21, the National Museum of Wildlife Art is hosting a special evening with Dr. Michael Adams, son of Ansel Adams, in conjunction with the “Yosemite 1938: On The Trail with Ansel Adams and Georgia O’Keeffe” exhibit. According to the museum, following an introduction from David Vela, Superintendent of Grand Teton National Park, Adams will discuss his late father Ansel's life, career, and specifically his memorable trips to Yosemite with Georgia O’Keeffe, David McAlpin, and Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Rockefeller. Dr. Adams has received several honors as a retired Board Certified Doctor of Internal Medicine, a retired Major General in the United States Air Force, and as a teacher. Dr. Adams currently serves as an advisor to The Center for Creative Photography at the University of Arizona, and The Clemson Institute for the Parks at Clemson University. The event will be held at the Craig Thomas Discovery & Visitors Center in Grand Teton National Park on June 21 starting at 6:30 p.m. The event is free although it is ticketed and expected to sell out.
