Flash Flood Warning for Southwest Teton, Northwest Lincoln Counties

(Jackson, Wyo.) - The National Weather Service Riverton Office has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Teton County until 11:45 p.m. tonight. According to the warning, doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm producing heavy rain across western Teton Count and norther Lincoln County up to one inch of rain has already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. Excessive rainfall over the warned area could cause mud or debris flows. "Some locations that will experience flooding include Moose, Alpine, Alta, Wilson, Teton Village, Moran Bay, Teton Pass, Gibbon Meadows, Grand Targhee Resort, Jenny Lake Lodge, and Snake River Canyon," stated the warning.
