Friday night head-on crash on Teton Pass leaves two injured

(Teton County, Wyo.) - On Friday night at approximately 6 p.m., there was a head-on collision on Highway 22 (Teton Pass) near mile marker 12. According to Wyoming Highway Patrol Trooper Tony Badura, a green Dodge Durango driven by a female in her mid-50s was traveling westbound towards Victor. She was going around a sharp downhill corner at approximately 45 MPH when she crossed over the center lane and collided head-on with a black Honda Del Sol driven by a male in his mid- to late-50s. The woman was taken to St. John's Medical Center via ambulance and the man was rescued from his car with the Jaws of Life and then life-flighted to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) in Idaho Falls. The WHP is not releasing the names of the drivers, but Trooper Badura did say that the female driver works in Jackson and lives in Victor and the male driver lives in Jackson. The conditions of the victims are unknown at this time. Trooper Badura said that the cause of the crash was likely traveling too fast for the road conditions or inattention. Teton Pass was closed for approximately 90 minutes while first responders helped the crash victims. #buckrail #news
