(Jackson, Wyo.) - At 10 a.m. today, the Town of Jackson will begin budget discussions in a special Town Council meeting. In the public meeting, the Town will review the lengthy Fiscal Year 2016/2017 budget. Fiscal Year 2016/2017 runs from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017. According to the Town Manager's Budget Message at the beginning of the document, "This budget was affected by Wyoming’s fiscal crisis. State shared revenues for capital construction were reduced from $1.9 million in FY 2016 to $345,000 in FY 2017. This fiscal crisis will likely continue to affect the Town budget for the foreseeable future." The note goes onto state that "The Town Manager’s Recommended budget for all funds including expenditures and transfers out for the fiscal year is $51,538,457." See the proposed budget here.
