2016 Election: 5 dates you should know, 6 places you can vote

(Jackson, Wyo.) — The Teton County Elections Office is gearing up for a busy year and candidate filing is almost underway. Here are five important dates to know for the 2016 election: 1. *May 12 - May 27:* Candidate Filing 2. *July 1: *Absentee voting begins for the 2016 primary election 3. *August 16:* 2016 Primary Election 4. *September 23:* Absentee voting begins for the 2016 general election 5. *November 8:* 2016 General Election This year, County Clerk Sherry L. Daigle introduced the Vote Center concept to Teton County for the 2016 election. According to the Teton County Clerck website, "Vote Centers have gained popularity across the country because they allow voters greater flexibility in casting their ballots on Election Day, and allow counties to decrease costly expenses by reducing the number of polling places and staffing."
