Silver Star wins TeleChoice Award with help of local creative agency TMBR

(Thayne, Wyo.) - Each year NTCA, the association of rural broadband companies, honors excellence in marketing and public relations. Earlier this month, Silver Star Communications won a TeleChoice Award in the “Complete Marketing Campaign” category for companies with 5,001- 10,000 subscribers at the NTCA’s Marketing and PR conference in Charleston, South Carolina. NTCA gives TeleChoice awards in seven categories: annual reports, complete branding campaign, complete marketing campaigns, customer newsletters, single-target print publications, websites and local video content. The entries are judged on innovative strategies, design, writing, creativity and other elements specific to each category. TMBR, a creative agency based in Jackson worked with Silver Star to develop the campaign which focused on raising awareness of Silver Star’s fiber optic network and the introduction of gigabit internet speeds and Silver Star’s Gigabiz™ community. The campaign featured a speedometer concept to convey the lightning-fast Gigabit speeds available with Silver Star fiber. The campaign concept was employed across multiple platforms – print, digital, billboards, vehicle wraps, yard signs and video content. “This campaign captured our excitement about offering the first gigabit internet speeds in Wyoming and Idaho,” said Eric Gewiss, Director of Marketing for Silver Star. “We recognize that the marketing award stands on the shoulders of Silver Star’s operations team, which handled the design and technical implementation of our fiber network.
