Lincoln County seals all warrants in Kay Ricks homicide investigation

(Kemmerer, Wyo.) - Today, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office announced that they will seal all search warrants associated with the Kay Ricks homicide investigation. On May 17, officers from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office and the Diamondville Police Department located a body south of Kemmerer near the intersection of Highways 412 and 189. The body was later identified as missing UTA worker Kay Ricks. Since that time, the Lincoln County Attorney's Office has worked with the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, along with other agencies from Wyoming, Utah, and the Federal Government. "This investigation is still ongoing," said the Lincoln County Attorney's Office in a release issued today. "Agents are still reviewing evidence, statements, and other leads that are integral to a final determination as to criminal responsibility in the death of Mr. Ricks." As of last Friday, Sublette County and Lincoln County were still searching for the weapons of alleged kidnappers Flint Harrison, 51, and his son, 22-year-old Dereck James Harrison . Ricks' missing truck was found near where the two men were hiding, although authorities are still not commenting on whether the two cases are connected. "As this is an ongoing investigation, the Lincoln County Attorney's Office filed a motion today requesting to seal search warrants that have been filed with the Circuit Court in Sublette County. The sealing of this information is being done to preserve the integrity of an active investigation," stated the Lincoln County Attorney's Office release. *Feature Photo: Kay Porter Ricks and the missing UTA truck. h/t a UTA missing poster / Pitchengine Communities* #buckrail #news
