Town Looking for Applicants for Planning Commission, Board of Examiners

(Jackson, Wyo.) - The Town of Jackson is now accepting letters of application for the Planning Commission/ Board of Adjustment for one seat with a three year term that will expire in July, 2019 and for a second seat for the remainder of a term that will expire in July, 2018. Members of the Planning Commission/Board of Adjustment must have been residents and qualified electors of the Town for a minimum of two years prior to their appointment, and they may not hold any other public office or any position in the Town government. Although no specific experience is necessary as a prerequisite to appointment, special consideration will be given to applicants who have experience or education in planning, law, architecture, natural resource management, real estate or a related field. In addition, The Jackson Town Council is also accepting letters of application from members of the community wishing to serve on the Board of Examiners. Members of the Board of Examiners shall be residents of the Town of Jackson or Teton County, Wyoming. Three seats are up for appointment for terms ending July, 2018. The Town Council also has the ability to appoint two additional members to this board at their discretion for a total of nine members. The Board of Examiners assists with the Contractor Licensing program and is made up of tradespeople from the mechanical, plumbing, electrical and building trades or others who have knowledge of such issues.
