Local artist hangs wildlife drawings in first-ever showing

(Jackson, Wyo.) - Friday, local artist Shannon Marie Schacht will hang her wildlife art in Snake River Brewing for her first-ever art show. In late 2015, with encouragement from her husband, Schacht left her job to pursue art full time. Since that time, she has been building her portfolio and getting her name out into the community. Her art focuses on dramatic and detailed wildlife and personalized pet portraits done in charcoal. "Drawing pet portraits has been so rewarding in many different ways," she said. "I love creating pieces of personalized art that are truly cherished. Animals, art and being creative are my passions in life. My goal is to show this passion and love through my work so that others can appreciate it and feel inspired." There will be a special art opening where people can meet Schacht on Tuesday, June 7 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Snake River Brewing. Then, her art will hang in the brewery for all of June and July.
