JHHS Breaks Record for Most State Championships in One School Year

(Jackson, Wyo.) - If you thought that Jackson Hole High School had a lot of State Championships this year, you are not wrong. In fact, the school broke its record for the most State Championships in one school year. This year, the school had 11 State Championships -- Girls Cross Country, Girls Swimming and Diving, Girls Alpine Skiing, Girls Nordic Skiing, Boys Alpine Skiing, Boys Nordic Skiing, Speech and Debate, Dance (hip hop), Girls Track, Girls Soccer, and Boys Soccer. This beats the previous record of 10, which was set in the 2007-2008 school year. "We have great students and coaches that work hard year round to compete at the highest level and you can see with this many championships their dedication has paid off," said Mike Hansen, JHHS Activities Director. Next year, JHHS will be moving to 4A, so this is the last year that they will be competing in 3A.
