2016 People's Market kicks off Wednesday

(Jackson, Wyo.) - In it’s sixth season, the People’s Market has announced another highly anticipated year at the base of Snow King Mountain. The People’s Market is an ongoing program of Slow Foods in the Tetons, a local nonprofit that works to grow our local and regional sustainable food economy by supporting producers, educating consumers and connecting them together in the spirit of good, clean and fair food. According to a release issued by the organization, "the People’s Market exists to build community through food, art, music and family, while celebrating products produced locally." The People’s Market incorporates all aspects of the community by providing a venue to gather and enjoy what Teton County and the surrounding areas produce. The market showcases local farmers, food producers, artists, musicians and brewers. The People’s Market will once again be presenting the Bike-In Movies Series immediately following the 8/3, 8/10, 8/14 and 8/24 markets.
