Louisiana-native Marc Broussard brings southern soul to the Hole

(Jackson, Wyo.) - On Monday, June 27 at 8PM, Louisiana-born musician Marc Broussard will bring his soulful sound to Center for the Arts as part of The Center's summer/fall season of performances. His style is best described as "Bayou Soul," a mix of funk, blues, R&B, rock, and pop, matched with distinct Southern roots. In his career, Broussard has released five studio albums, one live album, three EPs, and has charted twice on Hot Adult Top 40 Tracks. “Our community is in for a unique experience seeing as how Marc and his band are one of the most powerful groups on tour right now. They really know how to take command of a stage,” said Shannon McCormick, programming director of The Center. In recent years, Broussard has toured with giants - Maroon 5, Dave Matthews Band, Willie Nelson, O.A.R. and Bonnie Raitt, among others. He has honed his writing chops through collaborations with some of the top song craftsmen in the business. He has won ovations at South-By-Southwest, Bonnaroo, the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, as well as at countless theaters around the country and on the court during halftime at the 2008 NBA All-Star Game. Tickets for Marc Broussard cost $47-57 and are available now at and in person at The Center Box Office located at 265 S Cache Street (processing fee applies). *Feature Photo: Marc Broussard. h/t Center for the Arts / Pitchengine Communities* #buckrail #news #whatshappening
