GTNP to offer free workshops by local artists

(Moose, Wyo.) - Visitors to Grand Teton National Park and local residents will have a special opportunity to experience art in the natural environment this summer. The Grand Teton Association, a non-profit partner with Grand Teton National Park, will sponsor 12 educational workshops that provide an opportunity for the public to learn from local photographers, writers, and artists. The workshops will be held the second Saturday of each month June through September. Sessions are held at various locations within Grand Teton National Park. All workshops are free and open to the public, though participants must carry or purchase a valid entrance pass to access some of the workshop locations. The 2016 summer workshop series schedule: *Photography Workshops* Beginners and experts are welcome. Participants are encouraged to bring a camera. - July 9: Tenley Thompson at Oxbow Bend Parking Area, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. - August 13: Taylor Glen at String Lake, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. - September 10: Henry Holdsworth at Schwabacher Landing, 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. *Writing Workshops* All levels are welcome. Participants should bring a notebook, water, and a chair to sit on.
