As the temperature rises, Town of Jackson reminds floaters of rules

(Jackson, Wyo.) - Jackson is heating up! Temperatures are predicted to be in the 80s all week long. One of the best ways to cool off is to grab a tube and some friends and float Flat Creek through town. Because this is such a popular local pastime, The Town of Jackson recently released some information on how to keep floaters and wildlife safe while floating this summer: - No trespassing on private lands. - No dogs at large. - Open alcohol containers are strictly prohibited on Flat Creek. - Public urination is prohibited. - Please respect private property at all times. Utilize designated public access locations when accessing Flat Creek. - Glass containers are prohibited. Please dispose of garbage in designated receptacles. - Float at your own risk — no safety personnel present. Dangerous and swift flowing cold water, low clearance bridges and shallow water occur in some locations. - Be considerate of neighbors and environment by limiting noise and disturbance to riparian habitat. - Respect wildlife.
