Whitewater company driver collapses, dies during canyon shuttle

(Teton County, Wyo.) - On Saturday, the Teton County Sheriff's Office received a call at approximately 1:33 p.m. that a man driving a shuttle for a local whitewater company had collapsed while driving in the canyon. According to Lieutenant Slade Ross of the Teton County Sheriff's Office, after the driver collapsed, two employees who were in the van at the time were able to safely take control of the vehicle. Teton County Coroner Brent Blue has confirmed that 28-year-old Ian Fletcher Lynch suffered a heart condition called nonischemic dilated cardiomyopathy and his death is considered natural. According to Valley Mortuary, a Memorial River Float will be held on Tuesday, June 28 at 5:30 pm.
