SAR, Jenny Lake Rangers and IAN Fund host Picnic in the Park this Sunday

(Jackson, Wyo.) - This Sunday, Teton County Search and Rescue, Jenny Lake Rangers and the IAN Fund will co-host Picnic in the Park. This free community event will be held Sunday, July 17 from 4-7 p.m. on the Healthy Being Juicery Lawn at 165 E. Broadway. The event will feature music by the Canyon Kids, Search and Rescue demos and kids’ games with the Jenny Lake Rangers. There will also be brief presentations on the IAN Fund and Backcountry Zero about their efforts to support the local community. “As summer schedules are filling up, we invite the community to join us for a lazy afternoon on the Juicery lawn,” said Stephanie Thomas, Executive Director of Teton County Search and Rescue. “We’ll have picnics by Persephone, cocktails with juice donated by Healthy Being Juicery and live music by local favorite, the Canyon Kids. This will be a fun, family friendly event for a great cause. Backcountry Zero strives to reduce fatalities in the backcountry so bringing the IAN Fund to town to share their message was a natural fit. They do amazing work helping support the families of those killed in avalanches and we’re proud to help share their message.” Attendees can bring a picnic or pre-order one from Persephone by calling 970-596-0995 or emailing Drinks and dessert will be provided.
