(Jackson, Wyo.) - This weekend, Roller Derby teams from across the state traveled to Cody for the third annual Wyoming Roller Derby Cup. Despite the fierce competition between the teams, state roller derby skaters came together to raise money for the family of slain Jackson Hole Juggernaut Pixie Tourette. The teams held a buy-in mixed scrimmage that raised more than $400, a raffle, and part of the ticket proceeds going to Pixie's family. Pixie, real name Jennifer Nalley, was murdered over the July 4th holiday
A memorial painting created by all WyoCup attendees was presented to her
team during the awards ceremony, to show her family the impact she had on
the roller derby community.
