Cliff Creek Fire Grows to 7,671 Acres, No Containment Yet

(Jackson, Wyo.) - The Cliff Creek Fire has grown to 7,671 acres in the last day, showing significant growth of the fire. US Highway 191 remains closed as firefighting continues and the fire spreads and the fire is zero percent contained. There are currently 436 personnel on this incident, including the following resources: - Crews 15 - Type 1 Helicopter 2 - Type 3 Helicopter 2 - Engines 7 "A red flag warning is in place today for gusty winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures. A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior," states the most recent press release about the fire.
