THOUGHTS FROM THE ARTIST: Every time I play there, I get shivers. Partly, it’s the history of all the masterful songwriters that have done their thing there. Also, the sound in that room is crazy amazing. It’s like a warm bath of sparkly vibrations…yum yum.
I’ve got some stuff to share -- like I fell on my ass this last year and a half and I let myself just sit there. I used less than skillful coping tools, and I am a person who knows better.
What I mean is, I really get the beauty of the Petri dishes of giant messes.
Beyond the big world stuff, there has been personal stuff that I got to sort through. I am still surprised that this is where the delicious and spiritually nutritious songs come from. Luckily, by the time I work through them enough to make a song, it’s the humor that shows up-- few dirges aloud!
Praise the baby BABy Jesus and the punk rock Buddha for that.
Please won’t you join me?
