Caffetteria Coming to Prairie Village in Fall 2017
Jo Marie Scaglia, founder of The Mixx, announces opening of new fast-casual restaurant
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 4, 2017) — Jo Marie Scaglia, owner of the The Mixx, Kansas City’s original healthy quick-casual restaurant, officially announces plans to open a new concept, Caffetteria, this coming fall. Caffetteria will make its debut in the former Bruce Smith Drugs space in the Prairie Village Shopping Center at 71st and Mission Road. The approximately 4,000-square foot space will seat around 100 guests inside and will include a patio with outdoor seating.
Scaglia has a unique vision for Caffetteria, and is designing the concept as a stylish destination for Prairie Village and the surrounding areas. Caffetteria is a hybrid concept that blends high-end food philosophy with a quick-casual approach to service. The restaurant will feature an open kitchen with a colorful, eclectic environment to complement the nourishing, made-from-scratch food.
“It is important to me to make people feel like they are at home at Caffetteria,” says Scaglia. “We cook everything with love and want to make each dish approachable for our guests.”
Guests will order at the counter and food will then be delivered to their tables. Caffetteria will also have a marketplace with prepared meals, specialty foods and exclusive retail products. Keeping in line with her passion for locally sourced products, Scaglia will partner with local companies for fresh produce and products.
Additional details about Caffetteria will be revealed in the upcoming months through its Facebook and Instagram pages. Please visit www.caffetteriakc.com and sign up to receive updates, news and promotions.
