"Some things aren't for sale."  I will fight to protect access to our public lands for recreation.  That's why I moved to Wyoming in 1987.

My opponent, Eli Bebout, is the architect of ongoing efforts to seize and sell our public lands.  He has led this calculated strategy.  The end result will be a huge land grab that privatizes our public lands and shuts us out.

He claims this is incorrect.  Don't be fooled!  Bebout co-sponsored HB 288* in 2013 and HB 209* in 2015 that say otherwise.  He has brought other bills to committee meetings and moves ahead with his agenda even after a $75,000 study paid with our tax dollars indicates that it's not cost effective for the state to take control of federal public lands.  (*These bills may be found at the Legislative Services Office (LSO) website at www.legisweb.state.wy.us.)

Time for a change! Vote for Chesie Lee.

Expand Medicaid: As Gov. Mead recommended, the legislature should have expanded Medicaid and prevented some of the severe state budget cuts.  Medicaid expansion would cover over 20,000 uninsured in Wyoming and reduce hospital losses currently passed on to the County and to patients.

Eli Bebout voted against accepting federal funds to expand Medicaid for our working poor in Fremont County, but he voted for federal Abandoned Mine Lands funds that were used to finance contracts eventually paid to his company Nucor.

I have asked; he has not answered.  How much more than $50 million in state contracts was his company Nucor paid while he was in the Wyoming Legislature.

Paid for by the Chesie Lee for WY SD 26 Committee.
